What's your hair care regimen?

If you don't have this in your bathroom, go get it NOW. I just bought a bottle from my mother's beauty supply store (yes, that IS ghetto as hell I don't care) and my shit is feeling SO nice. When I'm at work, all the white people wanna touch my hair and they be like "OH MY GOD! It's so soft and shiny, what do you use?" and I tell them "Motions Hair Lotion" and they look at me like "sad Motions, what's that?" and it's all good. This is my little hair care regimen...I texturize about every month and a half cuz my hair grows QUICK as shit, then I use the neutralizer every other day, put in a leave in conditioner (Motions of course...) over night, wash it out in the shower, while my hair is damp I put in the lotion then I use THIS:

POW! Don't act like ya'll don't know what this is. And I mixed some frizz free creme in with the lotion and my head looks SO fly. I'm telling ya'll now, whatever kind of hair you got, GO GET THAT MOTIONS HAIR LOTION!! NOW!! CUZ I'M NOT SHARING MINE!!

This has been a public service announcement. What do you do with your shit?

Mop Glisten Shampoo

Redken Outshine 01 - Applied to damp hair

...and that's it. Pretty simple for a gay guy... Well that and I get my hair coated in Redken Shades EQ about every 10 days or so. Most people get their hair colored every 3 to 4 weeks, not me! giggle And I love having a hairdresser for a husband- I get it all at cost or free!

This'll probably get my gay membership card revoked, but I simply treat my hair with the same soap and lotion I use on my body. Quick and simple.

When I was sporting longer hair, I used Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap and Pink Oil Hair Lotion. When I had dreads, I conditioned them with assorted oils -- mostly olive and rosemary.

Just kidding! Drew uses soap too. It's about hair type, whatever works. Let's work on getting you your card back- like expensive lotion from say Kmart or the mall?

Well, right now it's Sandlewood lotion from the Gap Body line. Is that remotely acceptable? confused

...And the soap is some freaky, green organic olive oil cleansing bar my wife picked up at Trader Joes. lol

Citreshine shampoo and conditioner every 2 or 3 days, and Suave Kids Detangler every morning and evening.

Works wonders, and it makes me smell fruity. nod

In the last couple of years I've noticed that my hair has gotten thinner on the top/back of my head. There's still no actual gap, but I'd rather be safe than sorry and am therefore considering trying Rogaine (or something similar). Has anybody tried it or heard anything about it? The only thing I know is that Kirk Hamnet from Metallica mentioned it in an interview and said "I'm telling ya, man, that shit really works".

HEY I USE THAT TOO!!

Well for the next few weeks that is.

I use a different shampoo everytime I finish. Its not always a good thing to use the same shampoo for long periods of times.

I also like John Frida Frizz ease....Brunette leaves this delicious almondy smell...And I like Loreal Vive too that one leaves your hair nice and silky....theres an orange bottle that one is very good.
