[Edited 12/31/05 4:54am] ..yep.....and if its all bout fashion, why not make it age appropriate fashion? Zel said "What in the world is wrong with looking slutty anyway?"..not a thing if a you're a grown woman..these are CHILDREN we're dealing with..yes, society has changed and kids are growing up faster and dealing with more issues at a younger age but it seems so fucked up that even their toys bombard them with images like this...when will we let kids be kids again, not just mini reflections of our society??

the shoes just plug right into that little hole, so if you lose the shoes, you have amputee bratz dolls...not that there's anything wrong with amputee slut dolls, but i'm just saying.... They make shoe packs! Socks still got butt like a leather seat...

You're right Rhonda, there are parents that would do that...and those folks need a foot broke off in their ass....you
know..it seems like parents through the years have really gotten slack..I know I'm guilty of this myself; saying.."I'm not gonna do what to my child what my parents did to me..." maybe through the years all those things we said we wouldn't do have finally added up and now we are dealing with major problems...our kids deserve better...they really do... ..and the Mary J. comment, Calhoun ...classsic

The boys are "pretty," but I don't think they're so bad. I mean... so am I. ...As long they don't start marketing them like Calvin Klein underwear ads for the sake of "fashion." [Edited 12/31/05 8:07am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Lammastide said: I'm a pretty liberal dude, but I HATE these things!!! The sad things is: Look at the detail on those dolls -- the design and craftsmanship is fantastic! But they are way too mature for kids! I'd consider that they're meant for older teens and adults to collect, but they're actively marketed -- including with a cartoon and DVD series -- for "ages 4 and up." WAY too young, IMO.
People bought my 4-year-old tons of these damn things this Christmas. I'm considering striking a deal with her to get rid of them and replace them with something more appropriate. And in the future, I'm going to flat out forbid people to buy them for her. What REALLY gets me is even the Bratz Babyz are oversexualized with low-rise panties, belly shirts, eye makeup, lipstick and a friggin' beauty mark!... Once again, I agree with Lammastide. There are sooo many other toys a child could have. I do not think we need to encourage our girls to look or dress like these slut dolls. [Edited 12/31/05 11:13am]

I do think the dolls are very cute, but they should be sold in music stores and adult collectable stores...NOT marketed to children.

I realize I have to consider that Australian men are on an entire different plain of sexual reality. You guys just naturally exude sexuality... so maybe that's why it's as unremarkable to you as oxygen!!! C'mon, bkw! If you saw a gal walking down the street like this, you mean to tell me no thoughts would come to your head... none!?! And god forbid you have a few beers in you!! [Edited 12/30/05 20:20pm] Okay you got me, that one does look slutty. That dont all look like that though. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

they're kinda cute I used to be obsessed with Babysitter's Club Dolls. I had three of them, but they weren't your average dolls. They weren't really made to be played with like other dolls (I played with them anyway) and they were way taller than average dolls. They were like 20 in. tall, I think. I loved everything about the Babysitter's Club.....the books, movie, the t.v show. The dolls's popularity didn't last as long as I would've have liked it to.

I think the regular bratz dolls are cute. And teens and young adults pretty much dress that way. I think the bratz babies are completely innappropriate and I can't believe that parents aren't speaking out against them or boycotting or whatever. I AM BEATLOAF
