Mmmmm

Must I be honest?

I am a huuuuge Muppet fan, but I like 'm best on The Muppet Show. Somehow I never cared much for the stories. Their punchlines are best delivered in short sketches, my most favourite the ones without any meaning.

I thought The Muppets Tonight might have been something very special, if it had been given a proper chance.

'the great muppet caper', of course...with the water ballet and miss piggy on a motorcycle busting out of prison and ESPECIALLY the part with diana rigg clutching her chest and screaming "MY JEWELS!!!" which is a line i love in ANY movie and something i try to re-enact in public whenever i need some attention.

My favourite is probably The Muppet Treasure Island. Too funny.

Second favourite is The Muppet Christmas Carol (Michael Caine is the definitive Scrooge). It captures the essence of that story quite well.

In third place, I'll have to say Muppets In Space even though it had quite a few boring scenes.

For some reason I don't really care about the first few movies, despite the fact that I love the TV show. hmmm

I agree with Huey, I prefer the The Muppet Show. No, I LOVE the Muppet Show!!! Could watch it forever...wish it was still on TV. The DVD dont do it justice.

I love Animal so much that I dressed up as him for Halloween a few years ago...it was fun, I got to jump all over the furniture in my socks and hit things with my sticks, and growl!!

Pictures exist though....disbelief

Squire Trelawney: No, that's silly. The man who lives in my finger hired the crew, Mr. Bimbo.

Old Tom: Aye, aye.

Rizzo the Rat: You mean that Mr. Aeral's dead?
The Great Gonzo: Yeah, that and my pants are filled with starfish.
Rizzo the Rat: You and your hobbies.

Mr. Aeral: Any man caught dawdling will be shot on sight.
Capt. Abraham Smollett: I didn't say that.
Mr. Aeral: I was just paraphrasing.

I consider myself somewhat of a Muppet authority. My favorite Muppet movie is The Muppets Take Manhattan. biggrin

aside from being a super fun muppet movie, it's one of the campiest movies of its time! plus it has the famous scenes with janice babbling about her nude sunbathing!

Definitely The Muppet Movie.

Those songs are really good, and the story seems more organic. It's not just some contrived plot. I probably also like it most for nostalgic reasons.

The Muppets Take Manhattan was okay, but anything without Jim Henson just isn't really the Muppets to me.

the muppet movie for pure nostalgia, but like Anxiety, I think "Caper" edges it out. Loved it -- had the complete set of glasses from McDonald's.

to me TMM, TGMC, and MTManhattan are the top tier Muppet movies.

that is one of the funniest things i have ever seen, and i tell people about it all the time and can't even get through it without cracking up.

janice is my favorite muppet.
