Lola, i am sure there will be some guy that will be interested in her. There are planty of guys that are into Plain Janes because they are more attainable. Some guys will settle rather than be single. I just can't compromise my principles. I wouldn't want to get involved with her and the whole time be wondering if i could have done better or be wondering what the pretty blonde is up to. Things like that. I hope she finds someone who won't care if she is not a babe..

Plain Janes around the world have united in organising special parties where they can meet people and have a good time safe in the knowledge that spats won't attend.

Being a plain Jane has never been such an attractive proposition. Apparently, gorgeous blonde women are actually using 'make-down' to appear plainer. If memory serves, Cosmopolitan even ran an article in December's edition regarding what is being termed the 'spats effect'.

Buddies thought i was crazy for passing up on a night out with a willing female to go trolling but the thought of that did not excite me.

Bluesbaby, I don't think i lack self esteem. How is that? It's just that i like going to the coffee shop and if she is not as friendly after i say no then it could ruin a good thing. I would feel uncomfortable. Now That i think about it I am sort of pissed that she would put be in that position.

Threadbare, i realize that no one will be beautiful forever but i would rather be with someone who was beautiful at one time than not at all. And i know women appreciate it when men make the first move. They could make a career on appreciating that. They have devoted most of their lives to appreciating that. I don't approach anymore because i am tired of playing that game. Not because I don't believe in myself. I am just tired of risking my ass all the time. It's my turn to sit back and enjoy being approached. Men appreciate that risk as well.

Purplekisses, i know about the whole story about the ugly duckling turning into a beauty. But this girl is in her early to mid twenties. I think this is as good as she is ever going to look. Besides, she is not ugly. She is just plain.

I don't think Spats has done anything that a lot of us haven't done in the past. Sometimes people say "I'm not sure yet" or "I'll let you know" just because they're taken by surprise and it gives them thinking time to react.

I think that you guys give Spats a harder time than he deserves..Yes, he does state alot of fudged up things sometimes, but just reread this post of his...I can actually appreciate his honesty.
