Strange competitions

You and your zany-ness. 
I was once in a 'club kid' competition. This was about 10 years ago. I wore a dress made of silver garbage bags and duct tape. I had tiny lights alllll through my hair. I had to get up on a stage in front of a buncha people and, well, kinda dance and prance and strut and just genarally be fabulous. I took 3rd place. I won a t Shirt for Moonshine Music and a gift certificate to a treny store in Uptown that I used to get my belly button pierced. |

You know, I was also the grand champion of the Nisswa turtle races when I was, like, 7. My turtle won the whole thing. I won a little plastic trophy and about $7 in prize money.

What was the turtles' name? I didn't name him. 
We were on vacation at a resort and I bought the turtle for the races and I had to sell him back when it was over. I really wanted to take him home with me, though.  |

It's really too bad, too, cause that's when I was doing the craziest stuff fashion-wise, creating new outfits every week and such. |

A friend of mine has won several competitions in New Orleans at Mardi Gras. I'm not gonna tell you what kind.  I saw his picture on the internet once and told him about it. He didn't believe me and I told him how to get to the site. He got mad but I don't see why. You never know who's around with a camera these days.Andy is a four letter word. | |
