Are you modest in victory? Are you modest in victory?... ...and gracious in defeat? Have you ever been so wound up by someone or a team celebrating something so much that it really made you angry? Did it end up in a punch up? Have you ever rubbed your victory in somebody's nose? Winning, losing and all round celebration stories...

I find it easy to be a modest winner and can usually make the loser feel so good about themselves that they almost don't feel like they lost at all. However, I'm a very sore loser, especially if both me and my opponent have really made an effort to win. So I guess all in all I'm a bit of a hypocrite.

I am a modest winner, but Im such a know-it-all that whenever I lose, so to speak, everyone rubs it in so much that it makes me less modest, and a sorer loser!
Not my fault at all | |

I was kinda "shamed" into modesty early on - I used to win lots of awards & shit in school & a friend said to me, "How come I never win nothin'??" I felt SO BAD for her, so ever since I kinda down-play everything good that happens out of habit (I really do think it stems from that one incident ). But it's starting to fuck with me, I have this whole defeatist thing going on despite wanting to excell... too much push & pull, not healthy
So yea, modest winner & pretty gracious in defeat though I fucking HATE defeat I won't express it outwardly but I'll give myself hell for it

I'm not a very gracious loser, I admit. I'm inclined to think myself better at being a modest winner... but, then, that would be immodest of me. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
