I am getting Windows XP put on today and I'm very excited! Long gone will be the days of sorry, you can't watch this video as you are running windows 95 or 98 etc


Anyone else living in the dark ages with me, or are you all futuristic?

i just got a new laptop for xmas, so i made a lightspeed jump into at least the late '90s.

i think this whole vistas thing is gonna take a couple of years AT LEAST to catch on, especially for home use. i was listening to one of the trainers at my job talk about it, and it sounds like it's going to be drasticly different. of course, she could have just been spreading hysteria, who the heck knows.

XP is basically 2000 with a polished interface. It has gained some functionality since SP2, but it's still a polished turd.
As for Vista, damn... They have been working years on this one, throwing out some of the more interesting aspects to "speed up" development... It will be dated the day it comes out. Did you see some of the previews??? It just looks...baaaaad. Blech.
