it's one of them karaoke classics, that dads sing at weddings.

gary glitter was one of those people too. "i love u love, u love me too love". What a classic. Sing that at karaoke club now. I'd sing it. Its a fun song. Same with the rather silly "Iam the leader, iam the leader, iam the leader of the gang" song. I love those songs. My grannie does too. Has no clue he is a pedo. Cant understand the term bless her. Cant really say to her "he fucks girls, grandma". It'll break her heart.

In no particular order:

Vertigo(probably my favorite Hitch film)
Psycho
Rebecca
Strangers On A Train
Shadow of a Doubt
Marnie
The Birds
Rear Window
Frenzy(grossly under appreciated)

I'm happy to see a few people mention Marnie here. For a straightforward melodrama, it really works.

Bernard Hermann composed the music for good number of Hitchcock movies as well as delivering the atmospheric score for "Taxi Driver" smile He died more or less straight after finishing his work on "Taxi Driver". If you check the end credits, Scorsese dedicates the film in his memory wink

(BTW, still loving the girl in your avvie love )

There's also a brief 3-note reference to the Psycho score in Star Wars, when Han and company are coming out of the Millenium Falcon's holding compartment after the stormtroopers have searched for them.

agreed, though Hitchcock was always a bigger star in the movie than his actors.

though I wish George Sanders and Laurence Olivier would have done more pre 45 work with him.

You know, it's been so long since I went through my Hitchcock phase, I'd have to watch them again. I have clearer memories of the later oner which seemed pretty creepy, but I'd have to watch them again.
