I know it's a very old word and has been around for hundreds of years.
I don't like it. It's always used in a derogatory way and never sounds nice. I don't really like to hear swearing from anyone, not that I'm a prude - I just think that people who swear a lot don't usually have an awful lot more in terms of vocabulary. Most of the time it's boring and unnecessary. | |

I have been offended in the past when men have said it, but usually its just funny. Its my top swear word I think, not the one I use most, but the one that only comes out on very special occasions to express just how frustrated I am! But then, its only so effective for that because people find it so offensive! It makes me feel better to say it!
