sorry stymie. but i love christmas. its my favorite holiday. But i see what your saying about the commercialism. i dont' care too much about the gift giving part, i like the decorations, making the cookies with the rugrats. they make ornaments and stick them on the tree. then we watch christmas movies. our favorites are "its a wonderful life", "grinch stole christmas" (the movie and the cartoon), all of the scrooge remakes. i dont' look for anything for myself. i enjoy watching the boys playing with their stuff.

I don't hate Xmas, but I do hate all the commercialization and frenzy surrounding it. I like giving gifts. It's a beautiful thing to see someone's face light up or or even receive an unexpected gift.
I also love watching Xmas cartoons, such as Frosty, Rudolph, The Grinch and Charlie Brown. I absolutely love the cartoon with the Heat Meiser and Mr. Snow. I can't remeber the name of it though.

I love it! I hate how it tortures me in some sense (especially career wise) but I am the problem... I need an attitude adjustment I am afraid. I never get what I want either...but I think it is because I really dont want a material item so much..... This year a few friends pulled out the stops and spent a lot to be here with me... I count myself rich and fulfilled.

I don't like Xmas. There are very many reasons. One is that I'm usually broke and I feel bad that I can't give everybody what they want. Another is that recently, a lot of people that were in my life are not anymore.

Christmas doesn't work for me since 10 years or so.....My family consists out of extreme opposite & strong characters. When we're together for those days, it always ends up in some clash, most of the times resulting to a fight. And really, being the only one who hasn't settled yet for wife & kids, makes it a bit harder. Sometimes they see me as a freak without a clue, don't understand (or simply aren't interested in my life.....

Therefore, recently I always see that I'm on some trip, with friends.....
