CAN you remember how old you were when YOU STOPPED believing ......

that a fat lil fellow in a furry red with white furry trim outfit could amazingly fit down billions of chimneys (even the ones with their fireplaces on) all in one night worldwide and deliver presents to everybody?

I'm sure a few of you still might believe in him as well as an Island that houses celebrities who arenot really dead but alive and kicking like JIMI or JIM or 2PAC or ELVIS ...etc?

how old were you when you stopped believing and what convinced you?

At age 8. I had a t.v. delivered for Christmas. My dad said "Look what Santa brought you." I said "Santa didn't bring that. You did. I don't believe in Santa anymore." He said "Well I guess this is going back then, since you don't believe me that Santa doesn't exist."

I took it all back. I had a nice 19" color t.v. that Christmas.

I was about eight, too, but I kept it up until I was around 12 or so because I thought that if I didn't believe the extra presents from "Santa" would stop.

Santa's presents were always the best!

It's amazing that parents don't lose more credibility than they do when the kids find out they've been lied to for years. smile

I remember when I was around six that I had started to wonder about this whole santa business. Apparently my sneaky parents realized this and therefore asked a neighbour to play santa. I was so puzzled when I saw that everybody who celebrated Christmas with us was accounted for when santa showed up, but it didn't make me think "oh it's actually santa then" but rather "who the hell is this total stranger that's patting me on the head". lol

I was 9 years old. My mom and grandma picked me up from school and they very casually told me that Santa was a figment of my imagination. I was crushed.

I was 9. I gave my list to my dad and he told me he was going to mail it to the NorthPole.
A few days after Christmas my dad asked me to go get his coat. I took his coat off the hanger and checked to see if he had candy in his pocket. No candy, but my Christmas list was in there mad He didnt mail it!! I confronted him with the list "What is this!??? He said that was the copy Santa sent back to him. Lies!! all Lies!!

The next year he had "Santa" call the house to wish me Merry Christmas. I didnt talk to whoever that was.
I still believed in the tooth fairy though.

actually, i do believe in something... we tend to call it 'santa', but look there is a REASON that grown folks would be at a toy store fighting over that last doll, video game, toy... whatever it is that our babies want shrug you cant tell me that there is no reason for this....

so, he may not be all dressed in red, and have a long white beard, laugh so loudly, or climb down our chimney....

but there is SOMETHING.... and i will forever believe in that mushy
