I mean, ultimately you're doing the same thing: ripping out the entire hair, right? If it does last longer, I may look into this. BTW, anyone have any experience with the laser method? I figure it's probably cheaper in the long run if it works. its more similar to waxing as it takes the whole folicle out rather than just the hair itself but it's more thorough...read what mach posted my friend gets hers done like once a month and it barely grows in any too so i decided to try it out i'll let u know

When I had my nipples pierced, I took Valium or Xanax (can't remember which) beforehand. It was interesting... I still felt the pain, but, for lack of a better description, I didn't care about it. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

Awww... thanks. Yes, I do get my eyebrows waxed, and I was doing it before Queer Eye for the Straight Guy made it "okay" for men to have it done. Actually, it was my ex-wife who got me started... she told me I was getting waxed, booked an appointment for me, and took me in. If I do nothing, I'll have a uni-brow. I used to just pluck out the middle hairs with tweezers, but she said my thick eyebrows detract attention from my eyes. Even at that time I HAD NO CLUE this post would be this lively. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

In all fairness, one of the piercings was a repiercing, and the first time around, I didn't take anything beforehand. It hurt, although I think part of the problem was that the original piercer preferred to do nipples with the piercee sitting up. I think it's better to be lying down, as it's easier to relax. I tried to imagine myself just sinking into the table. Besides, benzodiazepines (e.g., Valium and Xanax) are tranquilizers, not anesthetics. Not at the moment, unfortunately. If you go to BME, they have a picture in their archives, but it's old enough now that you need a paid subscription to access it, I think. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I'd think that threading would not be efficient on large areas of the body (e.g., men who have their backs waxed). But it should be possible, at least in theory. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

yeah, my mom shaved her brows clean off and drew 'em on everyday with one of those red maybelline eyebrow pencils. i still remember the smell of the pencil as she did it, too. LOL i know a woman that got lazer hair removal on her brows.. ...and then got them TATTOOED back on im sorry but i love my eyebrows even as wooly as they were before i had them done!
