dang and i was ticked off because someone stole my license plates, while my car was parked at the grocery store.

I got it resolved w/ UPS & the vendors But it took weeks & a lot of hassle: apparently someone in my building signed for the damn thing & left it in the lobby for me. When I couldn't find it, learned she signed for it, I thought she had it in her apt. holding it for me. Come to find out she went on vacation for a week & didn't have it (or claims not to have had it)

But the postman will sometimes leave stuff in the lobby for me. I gotta mention to him or leave a note in my mailbox to NEVER leave a package for me that won't fit inside my mailbox

this thread has helped remind me that bad neighborhoods are ALL over, and at least in the years I've been in my house, the damage has been centralized to my car...no stolen mail, no home break-ins, no bullets flying thru the front windows, etc...
