Goodmorninggggg!

Well, wasn't I up bright n early to beat every other Xmas shopper? Yes, I was!

Finished my book at half past midnight and then hit the hay, only to wake up early again (still in my morning shift schedule).

So I got up, after some consideration, to find myself the multi-colored Xmas lights for my tree. Yesterday I went to FIVE shops and none had them.

I was in the center of Amsterdam at half past 10 and most stores were deserted. And NO shop still carries the Xmas lights I want. I am thinking about just not putting the tree up.

So. I came home in the middle of a hailstorm and now cranked up the heating, put on Harry Connick Jr's second Xmas album and the coffee is almost finished. The coffee machine is making it's last gurgling noises, which means almost all water has run through the filter.

Then... COOKIES! crumbly chocolate cookies.

Promising start of my weekend off. Which happens once every three weeks. I will go have coffee this afternoon at Jessica, my b-movie friend, then off to dinner with Joanne and her two other best male friends.

Then tomorrow the entire day I have to do NOTHING. I love that. Just doing some household stuff, playing music, maybe tinkering with my Prince play lists, as I have been listening to some old mini discs with GREAT playlists.

So, what are YOUR plans this weekend, besides hanging HERE?

Hmmm, since I have my weekend off (no kids) we just planned to clear the attic, go see a movie (KING KONG) and go out for dinner in a nice little restaurant called "PEER" (Remember that one Madartista??).

Off to work for a few hours and then off to See Barbra...Richard Raha and Chris... for dinner.

Tomorrow I pick up the kids and go to my Grandparents for Christmas... My mom and I ordered them a feast. Catch up with all the cousins and extended family.
Monday I finish up my Christmas shopping.

today i was mostly riding around on the bus, simply because i didn't wanna stay indoors all day...i went to the bookstore and bought a new issue of diva, plus i bought a book called making stuff & doing things, which has a lotta do-it-yourself stuff in it. gonna start reading that before i go to bed tonight, but right now i'ma read my copy of diva.

as for what i'm gonna do tomorrow, i have no idea.

Hell yeah! It is going to be a nostalgic tree; the multicolored lights are just brought in cuz my parents used to have them and I want to have THAT feeling. It's the first time I am going to use my mom's Xmas ornaments since she passed away, so it will be probably an emotional trip to get it up.

Emotional and at the same time VERY gratifying...
