I saw Chuck Berry perform Finally! Every month Chuck performs at the bar across the street from my apt. But since i am a broke (but not broken) biatch, I never get to see him. My friend B took me to see him for my birthday and it was awesome! I was afraid that ol Chuck might kick the bucket before I got to see him-he is 79 years old. He is one nasty old man! Chuck was pumpin and grindin. He even did the damn DUCK WALK! He played the hell out of the guitar. His "kids"-they must be mid 40's_are in the band with him. His daughter, Ingrid, played the harmonica like a mad woman! She handled it. I hope I can see him again in January! I AM BEATLOAF

Nasty is right! Chuck was busted several years back for having installed hidden cameras in the stalls of the women's washrooms in a restaurant he owned. Apparently, he is into pee. His "kids"-they must be mid 40's_are in the band with him.
Doesn't surprise me. If you've seen the documentary Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll! - a highly entertaining flick in which Keith Richards puts together an all-star band for Chuck for a special concert - you'll know that Chuck is a first-class cheapskate.

I agree. Especially entertaining is the "amplifier incident" between Chuck and Keef. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

I agree. Especially entertaining is the "amplifier incident" between Chuck and Keef. Yes! Did you know that Keith eventually arranged to secretly run a second line down to a better amp in the basement?

What was so funny were the looks on the other band members faces while Chuck's tirade was going on. Ya gotta love Springsteen's story about the time he and the E Street Band backed-up Chuck, too.

Yeah I know all about that. that happened in Wentzville, MO about 45 minutes away from where I live. Yeah, he's an old freak. Apparently he wife has stood by him through all his disturbing and illegal activities. She was at the show last week. They've been married for 57 years! My grandmother went to school with him and his sister. My mom also said that when she was a little girl/teenager the family would go down to Chuck's farm, also in Wentzville. She said that Chuck used to have music festivals and picnics there! I AM BEATLOAF

A true backup band nightmare from someone he had great respect for as a songwriter. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."
