Should I Open My Mouth?? My Mom cooked chit'lins (chitterlings) tonight!...  Pig's intestines!!! 
Along with black eyed peas, they are traditionally good luck to have for the new year's arrival! ...(I don't know "Why?"...) Just a small batch...While they cooked they were stinking up every room in the house!! . (OPEN THE WINDOWS, IT'S JUST A LITTLE SNOW!!)
But, just before they were finished cooking, they took on a very "tasty" aroma that I never sensed before... 
My daughter is still gagging her innards out tho!  ...Just like I used to do...
My Mom offers them to me 
Then she served them up on her plate so beautifully... 
~Ate them so divinely... 
I THINK I WANT SOME!!!!! 
 ...Should I try them?...Or not??

Right this second I am eating kuayjup, which is a slightly sour soup containing noodles, crispy pork, liver, kidneys, pigs blood, duck egg, and several things that look they come from around a pigs heart. It's delicious, my favourite breakfast.  | |

There's a soul food restaurant in Oakland that I'd specifically avoid on Fridays b/c they cook chitlin's on Fridays Could NOT deal w/ the smell  I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it | |

There's a soul food restaurant in Oakland that I'd specifically avoid on Fridays b/c they cook chitlin's on Fridays Could NOT deal w/ the smell I spent many a night in Oakland smellin it from huge pots. Never did take it in.... Just could not get past the phsychology that something that smelled that bad wasn't meant to be consumed by me. So I rolled dice with the bawlers til it was over. Took off for Pinks to get a hot dog. | |
