satellite radio - IPOD questions....

My sister and are looking to buy satellite radio home system for our parents …I know NOTHING about what components are involved except that the actual radio program has a monthly fee. Was looking on the web and was overwhelmed by all the offerings…if you can recommend any brands or what exactly is needed in the house to hook this up, any feedback is appreciated!

On a side note, I want to buy my sister a “stereo system” base for her iPod. Is Bose the way to go? Again…I’m incompetent in the electronic dept. Thank you!

Did I mention how broke I'm going to be after this? neutral there goes my $300/day drug habit. confused

Do they want one for their stereo hook up a boom box or something for the car. You're right, it is overwhelming. I would just go into a store and have those guys help you. I got a Sirius radio for a steal. The reciver, with a car hookup available, was free after a $50 rebate (I think it sells for $100 usually) and the boomboxes are all about $100, but mine was $50. After Thanksgiving is the only way to go!

It's best to talk to someone that knows this stuff. I just bought the lowest priced one available. BTW, which service are they interested in? I have Sirius mostly for Howard but I like it....I've heard XM is probably better. The services cost the same but I think you can get a better deal buying a Sirius system.
