That's what the tourists mean when they say "New York." The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. It appears that the partial strike is starting to happen. I turned on NY1 and it seems like the Jamaica and the Triboro Coach Bus drivers are bringing the buses back and the drivers are starting to go on the picket line. Things are really going to go crazy 24 hrs from now if the MTA and the TWU don't get it together. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

This morning as I was running late for work I heard that Metro North is now striking as a show of solidarity with the TWU. I have to fly out of Newark on Wednesday--I was going to take the NJ Transit to the airport--I hope they don't decide to strike too! I rescind my earlier prediction of no strike. I think they're going to strike tonight... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. you won't be able to get into manhattan below the park in car unless you have 4 or more people in the car they are saying Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

Breaking News...
Some guy from the MTA just announced that the MTA put a "fair offer" on the table and the TWU refused it, and have left the building (Hyatt) where talks were being held. The TWU is on their way to Union Hall--presumably to do the final vote on whether to strike... Looks like I'm walking to work tomorrow... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

UWS is nice, too... I work in that area and it sucks. There are about 3 different all girls private schools on the same block as where I work and those girls have SUCH attitudes. I mean, c'mon, just because their shoes cost more than my entire Prince collection and they have drivers that take them to school they act like they're all that. The check. The string he dropped. The UES is a nice neighborhood but you're right, the people are snobs. I almost went to school at Loyola Prep or something like it but the boys seemed stuck up.

Yes the strike is on and it's so strange to see sooo many people walking around here and not seeing any buses or trains running. It's freezing cold and from what I seem the traffic is VERY BAD. It's just very surreal what's happening. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

i just got done reading an article about the strike starting in the star tribune...what i don't understand is this: how in the world you gonna go on strike, and there's a $1 billion surplus in the MTA???? that's fucked!

that's because the mta doesn't know how to spend a surplus. they're cutting service, too.

This is craziness but i still love nyc. p.s. what does lhmj mean?
