Haven't eaten in 2 days...

trying to lose weight and I'm starving! But I think I may have lost a pound or two!! woot!

Hey beret, losing weight by not eating is only temp, it's not going to stay off. As a matter of fact, when you get burnt out on "starving" yourself, you will evenually eat alot more and gain the weight and more back. The best way to lose weight is to eat several small meals, throughout the day and get some physical activity.

Actually, what you're doing is fasting.

Water fasting works this way:

Day 1 and day 2 : You'll lose 1 to 2 pounds a day. 50% fat / 50% muscle
Day 3: Your body switches over to ketosis based metabolism to preserve muscle--98% fat / 2% musle (you'll lose about 1 pound a day, almost entirely fat).

The benefit of this is not weight loss, though you'll lose a substantial amount of weight. The benefit is that the 2% protein (or muscle mass) that your body is looking into eating is good--becuase you're body looks for deseased cells and inferior cells first (tumors, abnormal growths, etc.). ALso, your fat cells store chemicals and other toxins you've been accumulating all your life.

I've water fasted for 10 day stings (once losing 18 pounds) and by the end of the fast, I had very very clear skin, looked 10 years younger, and felt like a million bucks.

I wouldn't recommend fasting 10 days, (although most people can do a water fast for 30 or 40 days with supervision--face it folks, most of you have THAT much fat to burn). But I do strongly believe in fasting.

EDIT:
HOWEVER, you're matabolism will slow down. So when you come of the fast, you MUST get into a gym and do strength training. Strength training picks speeds your metabolism permenantly up, becuase 1 extra pound of muscle requires 30 to 100 additional calories a day to sustain itself.

You're doing yourself more harm than good. You're slowing your metabolism and making your body store extra fat. It does that to draw on for energy when it goes into starvation mode.
If you do that on and off, you will really hurt your metabolism long term.

starving yourself won't help in the long run. you'll only hurt yourself.

find a good diet plan, get more exercise, and go about losing weight sensibly.

I've tried that. It doesn't work for me. My body is stubborn. The only way I can loose weight, is to stop eating altogether. I still drink water and a little orange juice...that's helping.

your body is a machine ... it thrives on fuel

you want to loose weight ...it's simple mathmatics ... burn more then you put in

fule with good food and get active ... very active

but starving yourself will do no good really

You would be better off eating and starting a work out program. I was a wrestler in high school and college and never had to starve myself to make weight. I was lean but extremely fit.

Loosing weight by starving only makes you fatter in the end. By starving you make your matoblisim kick down to a lower gear where you put on weight easier and don't spend energy as easily. In the end you are only going to fuck yourself over. STOP NOW!!!!!

The More Healthy way of doing this diet is to go on a liquid diet where you drink only quality fruit juices, and milkshakes, while eating no solids.

By not eating your body takes what it needs to function from your bones and teeth. Not to mention, I bet you're mentally drained and worthless at your job/school. You can give yourself diabetes by not eating properly. Your boby is a machine and you're fucking yours up.


You wanna lose some pounds? Do these two things and give it 30 days and I promise you you'll see results!

#1- Water! Drink nothing but water. Oh and your skin, hair and fingernails thank you too! And that's on the outside! Your kidneys appreciate it the most, but all your organs love water. Hey your body is like 85% H2O!

#2- Cut out sugar! And that means evil soda (see #1)!!!

I know but I desperately want to lose weight.

I know the feeling I want to desperatly loose weight also...BUT
when you dont eat...your metabolism shuts down and you burn off nothing..
you actually have to eat to keep your metabolism going...just eat the right foods....it is hard...its a struggle...ive been struggling with it for a long time....oh yes and excersice...PEACE
