Oh yeah. I'm "out" but at the same time I don't wear my sexuality like a sash and tiara, yet, I don't hide who I am. If I did, it'd be like me telling the world that I'm ashamed of who I am, which I am not. Of course I get the shits of it from people sometimes, but people don't scare me. I just threaten them by saying they better not mess with me or they'll "catch the gay!!!OOOOOHHHH!!!" that usually works. I love all ya'll bitches too. Most people just copy what they see in clubs. I'd hate to give up my individuality that way. On the other hand; it exposes them to other D&G fags, so maybe that's the point. I am always a bit on the side in gay bars cuz they assume I am straight. Dunno why, I can flame like the next guy in line (move over, Cloudbuster) On the other, other hand; I always end up being attracted to guys that seem straight, are gay, but turn out to be very confused about themselves. I've had similar experiences with my straight male friends. I love my straight guys to death. I can relate to them in a lot of ways, and I love the laid-back, non-emotional vibe of friendships with guys. Chicks get too emotional for me. But I've also had friendships with guys end kind of ugly because of an attraction issue. The Normal Whores Club

Once again, all that is left for me to do is to lamely co-sign Anxy. The Normal Whores Club

i am completely open about it, and speak of it in the same terms any str8 person i work with does about their own, because i don't think there is really any difference between their relationships and mine, and for the most part people respond in pretty much the same way.
i came out when i was 14, and have never looked back. [Edited 12/15/05 12:14pm] Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

What's important to remember is what brought us ALL here (gay or straight) to begin with... a mutual fondness for Prince. Having said that, look at the music and the man himself. It's hard to believe homophobes would listen to Prince, let alone show up on a website such as this. I am sure not everyone agrees with the alternative lifestyle but, perhaps to the moderators' credit, there is not a lot of bashing or hate speech.
If there is one thing that we share, I think, it is a sense of open-mindedness or at least a sense of tolerance. The majority of people here on the site are friendly, have a great sense of humor, and we are much like a family. (With some relation closer to us than others!) Many of us have been a member here since Ben first generated "The Org" and genuinely want to get to know others. It is only through forums that we can do that at times, and... you have to admit -- it is pretty therapeutic! I know I am grateful for being able to chime-in on things, send and receive org notes, and see what everyone else is posting. I have met some really cool people through this site! I guess the simple familiarity is what is so comforting or allows "us" to be so forthright and personal.

The actor David Hyde-Pierce once said regarding his rumored homosexuality: "My life is an open book. But don't expect me to read it to you." I subscribe to that notion.
In my real life, I am out to family, friends and anyone with whom it's appropriate to cover the issue. I'm ashamed of no part of my current life, and if someone asks, I'm likely gonna tell him. At the same time, my situation is a bit different than that of many LGBTs in that I have a wife and kid. For their sake, I am more careful about keeping certain personal business under wraps. And, as I see it, that'd be generally called for, anyway... What real reason is there to announce my sexuality to the world, unless everyone’s roundly trying to get in bed with me, or outside of instances where certain conversations call for me to bring it up?
