Someone else mentioned this, but growing up queer it was my experience that I hung out with almost exclusively girls. I could relate to them better and didn't have to worry about them kicking my ass if/when they figured out I was queer. I could barely relate to ANY of the guys in my highschool.

From afar, what you described sounds like typical adolescent male behaviore to me. He may be an ass, but not necessarily queer. Of course, he could just be soooo in the closet that he may not even know yet, but it's hard to say.

So, my dear bucket, Is he gay? Probably, but doesn't really know it yet. And is going through the phase of denial. Where you try to date girls for appearances and also to see if the "gay thoughts" will go away or maybe you will miraculously be attracted to girls if you just date them and maybe even kiss them. SOme even go as far as to have sex to see if that'll trigger the girl thing.

I hope if he is gay, he comes out soon, as he'll feel better about himself...though may have a VERY VERY hard time keeping all of his male friends he likes to hang with so much (cuz he's attracted to a few of them...I am willing to bet).

As for your friend, tell her not to take it too hard. This happens...often. Maybe she should look into his circle to find a straight one in the bunch, as I doubt they are all gay, if any of them are.

Then again..they could all be just comic book geeks and super hero wierdos and thusly act really strange.
