that stapler is etched in my mind

Wanna hear something funny? Today when I was ordering a stapler for one of my co-workers, I noticed that OfficeMax has in their catalog a stapler that is the same red as the one in the movie! I kid you not, it's the exact same color. I showed it to a co-worker, and we were laughing about it. When I get to work tomorrow, I'll have to post a pic of it (if I can find it in Office Max's online catalog), since I can't find it right now. Too funny! lol

I will never forget how hard we laughed the first time we watched it, when we realized the the truck SPED UP before it hit their co-worker. We rewound it about a 1/2 dozen times!

Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler...

falloff

The ratio of people to cake is too big.

Aww, I felt kinda sorry for Milton when he didn't get his piece of cake because his co-worker kept telling him to pass the cake slices down.

You could... jump, to different conclusions!

I loved that chart, it was so clever! I was thinking that the chart they showed in the movie would be good to have in the office. Anytime you needed to make a decision about something that you were unsure of. you could stand in front of the chart, close your eyes, and point your finger. Wherever your finger would point, there would be your answer. giggle

Just got through watching it a little bit ago, it's a very funny movie! It was written and directed by Mike Judge, the same individual who created "Beavis and Butthead". If you like the silliness of Beavis and Butthead", then "Ofifce Space" is highly recommended.

By now I think everyone's seen it. It really took off on video and is a cult classic. I remember when it first came out on video and it was really cheap so I just bought it instead of renting it. I didn't regret it. I own the new special edition DVD but haven't watched it yet. Apparently, the special features aren't all that great and Mike Judge doesn't even talk about the movie (I guess he didn't like it?).

Actually, I didn't see it until just recently. What reminded me of it was that for Christmas, our whole department bought the special edition DVD for our head boss (who also had not seen the movie yet, believe it or not). lol When I told my co-workers that I hadn't seen the movie yet, they told me, "You've gotta see it; you'll love it, it's hysterical!" Turns out that they were right.

jennifer anistons best acting

She's barely in it, so yeah! it was kind of, sort of billed as her movie (she was the only recognizable face/star) and that still pisses people off. I knew she only had a small part. She was good.

This is true, because Jennifer was the only actor/actress from "Office Space" that I knew. The rest of them I had never seen before.

Root is a great comic character actor (he is often in supporting roles) and does a great job in movies like "Dodgeball" and was really good in a recent episode of "According To Jim" that I saw. Does a lot of voice work, too.

Yeah. He works with Mike Judge all the time. He's Guillaume Dauterive on King of the Hill. He always plays losers except when he was on Newsradio as the cool ass billionaire station owner.

Cool. "King of the Hill" is another show that I like to watch. I've become a real Mike Judge fan, since most of his stuff I seem to enjoy.

You're right about him playing losers in the movies but he is also the straight man quite a bit. A very gifted actor...didn't get into movies until the late eighties (I've done my IMDB research).

No one's done it yet...so I gotta do it...Gotta give it up for MICHAEL BOLTON..

He cracked me up in the beginning when he's rapping in his car to 2Pac (I Think) all tough and when he passes a black pedestrian he rolls his window up and lowers the volume! lol

Favorite quote:

When asked about why he hasnt changed his name...

"Why should I change my name, he's the one that sucks!"

other fav quote by the token annyoing office bitch...

"Looks like some has a bad case of the MONDAYS"
lol lol lol lol lol

Great flick. Highly underappreciated upon its release but it has gained much respect since. Excellent social satire. Gary Cole is outstanding.

It's also reasonably priced (and if buy a lot of DVDs, look at the rebate offer).
