I was very young that year I was in first grade, or like first, it was getting close to winter break. Many of the children were cheerping about santaclaws comming to town and oh how fun it would be. There were a few of them mean old children that kept arguing with us that we were all stupid and that santa wasn't real. Oh the pain of finding out how stupid we all were.

What's your story, or have you blocked this out? when and how did you find out the adults had been lying to you?

I was a late starter I still believed when I was about 9 or 10

And I still try and make sure that all the little people still believe despite what some people tell them

Over here it's 'Sinterklaas' that brings children candy and toys on December 6. When I was 7 or 8 a teacher told us in class that he didn't really exist and that our parents put the toys there.
Apparently I didn't want to believe her cause only a year later I asked my mom whether Sinterklaas really existed or not. I was dissapointed, but knew that the Sinterklaas story wasn't logical anymore.

With Christmas, we just give each other presents, no conspiracy.

I never believed in Santa.
Or StNicolas.
Or let's call it doubtful. I wanted to believe, but I was a rather sceptical kid. I pretended, of course. If it gets you presents I will even sing songs.

I remember me going; "Mum, that's silly! NO ONE can get our chimney! That's breaking and entering. Besides, I would take the window."

This was all after my parents told me it was okay to be sceptical towards 'belieiving' in god as well, so there you go. I was out at five, I am afraid.
