Tell Me About Narnia?

Who's going?
Who's not?

What's the target audience? Children? Teens? Adults? Christians? Sci-Fi/Fantasy people? Zoo-keepers? All of the above?

Who or Where is Narnia? Where/when does it take place?

.

I don't think I know what this is.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Saw it this weekend, thought it was fantastic. Faithful adaptation that really pulled it off.

Saw it last night, and it was wonderful. Much better than I was afraid it was going to be. I give it a solid "A".

Is it suitable for a 6 year old? Or is it too scary?

In Holland the spoken version is 6, as well as 20 minutes shorter. The UK version here is 12.

For the most part it's fine, but there are a few scenes that'll rattle 'em up. You may want to see it yourself first, or wait to watch it at home.

Already saw it. I had some minor problems with it, but a good movie overall.

Depends on your 6 year-old. My three year-old loved it, but very little scares him. My niece showed him the first Lord of the Rings, and he loved it, so there ya go (he was 2 at the time).

Some kids would be scared, but I think most will enjoy it. The battle sequences are cool, but they are bloodless.

I was planning to bring my 2 1/2 year old to it. She didn't get too scared of the preview (that was at Chicken Little).

I really don't like these kind of stories.....probably won't see it.

I am looking forward to Spielberg's 'Munich' and Mendes' Jarhead!

I saw it yesterday. I've never read the books so I didn't know what to expect from it.

Well, I think the movie is simply beautiful (brilliant actors, sound score and visual effects)

I can only say I've now ordered the box set of the 7 books (Christmas time will be a nice occasion to read them all for the first time!)

Here they rated it as 11 yo, which means if you're 7-10 you can go with an adult. I wouldn't bring a 6 yo to this though, I think they did it "too well" for that. hug

Does anyone know who the actress is that plays the witch? It looks like Cate Blanchett. Is it?
