Dreams that make you go...

... hmm omg whofarted

Okay, so dreams are a little weird and all. We don't quite know what they mean (various theories and such) but some just leave you plain baffled. Last week I had a dream in which I was *ahem* involved with the girlfriend of a mate of mine, I do actually fancy her but that's not the point, I still woke up all wrong. lol
Better yet, last night I had a dream in which I was snogging one of my younger brothers!!! omfg WTF?! I don't think I wanna know the interpretation of that one, thank ye muchly. disbelief

Anyhoo, what dreams have y'all had that left you a little bit eek

I think I already posted this but about a month ago I dreamed I was going to see a New Order tribute band and was so very excited, but when they finally went on all they played were Joy Division songs. neutral
I like Joy Division, but I was very upset.

I've had lots of lucid dreams and I hate them, so I try to wake myself up. As lucid dreams provide an element of control, you just dream of yourself waking up etc.

I hope I dont sound weird confused

It is pretty odd, though, you starting threads and telling us about 'brothers' and girls you fancy. What inspired the inital urge? The subject of dreams is pretty clitched. Fine well you know this. I think you're taking the piss, frankly.

Okay, I confess that I have no brothers and that I don't fancy girls. I just wanted to do something less boring than watch mutant animals and a parade of dwarves go by my window. smile

You should employ someone to sit at your bedside and wake you with a hammer when you first start mumbling and salivating.

My little brother is quite a dish. smile

"According to Freud, dreams are spyholes into our unconscious. Fears, desires and emotions that we are usually unaware of make themselves known through dreams. To Freud dreams were fundamentally about wish-fulfillment. Even "negative" dreams (punishment dreams and other anxiety dreams) are a form of wish-fulfilment; the wish being that certain events do not occur. Very often such dreams are interpreted as a warning.
Freud believed that although our dreams contain these important messages, they are encoded - disguised. The unconscious mind doesn't speak any verbal language therefore it must communicate with us via symbols. Some of these symbols are near-universal, others very personal."
