absolutely!! i would LOVE to learn to belly dance! right now, when i dance all the seems to move is my hips.

That's a good start, the trick is to isolate hip movement from rib cage movement, and then once you do that, moving both at the same time in different directions. kinda like rubbing your tummy with one hand while patting your head with the other.
