Bloody Teeth My jaw Hurts
I went to the dentist on Monday to have a wisdom tooth extracted.... 
I was warned it might not come out there and then and I may be refered to hospital... 
...What I didn't bargain on was the damned thing having such an affection for my jaw that it clinged on for dear life and broke...   :ouch!!!!!:
...So now I am left with part of the tooth stuck in my gob... 
...It's a wee bit painful just now... 
Moan over....

Crikey Squire! Moan all your like. It must be painful. Make sure to gargle plenty of salt water as it helps to prevent it being infected. Not the pleasant thing to do but it does sooth it. | |

Teeth. I hate teeth. So much trouble. I have a high threshold for pain of all sorts, but it's those teeth that will make me a winny little bitch. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.

OMFG!!! How awful! I don't understand why they couldn't get the tooth out without it breaking. Seems to me that they could have cut the gums a little to remove the tooth if they had to. I know that cutting the gums would be even more painful, but it would beat having a broken tooth in your mouth!  Plus, they could give you some good strong meds for the pain. Thanks JD..... ....Salt water has become my favourite drink...well mouth rinse anyway.....I actually look forward to it..

I know that cutting the gums would be even more painful, but it would beat having a broken tooth in your mouth! Plus, they could give you some good strong meds for the pain. [Edited 12/7/05 16:16pm] The tooth was flawed a little more than expected....The dentist I have now will not strip the gums or try to dig it out any further due to the risk of further soft tissue damage. It does hurt but to be honest I expected it to be a little more painful...this is bad enough though..

Once I walked more than 5 kms to find powerful painkiller for my boyfriend. He couldn't sleep, shaking... Until the dentist cured him. I remember those nights very well. | |

when we first arrived in Australia, it seemed common practice for a father to have all his daughters teeth extracted and have her fitted for a denture before marriage so it won't be an expense in the future for her husband (my dad is a dentist and found it barbaric when asked to remove a whole set of relatively healthy teeth!) | |
