yup. teeth are tricky huh. they're so sweet, smooth and peaceful when things are going well. but when something goes wrong poof! no more mr nice tooth!

when we first arrived in Australia, it seemed common practice for a father to have all his daughters teeth extracted and have her fitted for a denture before marriage so it won't be an expense in the future for her husband eek (my dad is a dentist and found it barbaric when asked to remove a whole set of relatively healthy teeth!)

Thanks Guys....biggrin

The update is that I had to go back today due to pain in my throat..ear...cheek and eye.....Though the socket is healing ok confuse

I have anti biotics just in case there is infection...though I am feeling pretty tired and none too great...pout

Xray showed that it broke at the level of the bone...confused

All will be well....just me having a moan

I hear what you all say...trouble is dentists round here can be hard to come by unless you want to fork out a small fortune....

don't worry, NOBODY does that now!! Maybe it was just the country folks? Too far to drive to the big smoke to see a dentist shrug
It was the same thing with the cattle station farmers (whose properties are huge - I know one that is bigger than England) who only married women with really wide hips since it took a fair bit of time to organise an air-lift to hospital if there was trouble during childbirth omg
