I stopped taking the kids to SEARS for holiday pics because they are too damned disorganized there! You have a freaking appointment and an hour later they call you in!!!  By that time the hair is disheveled, the clothes ruffled, and the kids are aching to go play!!!
I love The Picture People - if there's one near you I highly recommend it. They are very professional, timely, have excellent props...and even use REAL FILM (whereas Sears & most other studios have gone digital). By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

I DID take this photo myself with disastrous results!!! The tinsel was very itchy, and I had no help.
I took some more though and did a LOT of photoshopping (since when do all the kids look nice in the same shot  ) and this is my finished card:
