Have you ever been or left someone behind?

Have you ever been or left somebody behind somewhere? What happened? Did they come back to collect you or did you have to make your own way back to wherever?

yes... used to happen all the time by a girl I grew up with and another friend of mine she befriended. we'd go out as a group and they'd always ditch me and I'd never find them again. next day it was "oh sorry" ...it always amazes me how stupid I was to go through that again and again

the same girl I grew up with once left me at 3am in the middle of Sydney one night to go home with a guy... I was by myself and had to find my way back to the central coast as I had nowhere to stay. THAT was a turning point in our friendship

not me, but i work with this older lady, karen. she comes in twice a week to do filing, just something to keep her busy in retirement. she lives with this other sweet old lady, jane. jane was supposed to take karen to the hospital for cataract surgery one day, and she was very diligent about making sure she left in plenty of time, drove to the hospital very carefully through the snow (karen doesn't like driving in winter weather), found a parking space as near to the front door as she could so dear karen wouldn't have far to walk, parked the car, unbuckled her seatbelt, and realized she'd left the patient at home! karen was laughing so hard while telling that story . . . biggrin

Yes, when I was 3 my great grand parents, grand parents and grand anut and uncle left me at the bank. We were in 2 cars so the other party thought I was with them and vice versa. I was left behind for less than 10 mins, but to a 3 year old that's forever. I was approaching bank customers asking them if they had seen my grandma or anut or uncle. I didn't know any of their last names.

Me- "have you seen Ned?"

Bank Customer- "Ned who?"

Me- "Aunt Ned?"
Socks still got butt like a leather seat...
