Saw it last night, and it was wonderful. Much better than I was afraid it was going to be. I give it a solid "A".

In Holland the spoken version is 6, as well as 20 minutes shorter. The UK version here is 12.

For the most part it's fine, but there are a few scenes that'll rattle 'em up. You may want to see it yourself first, or wait to watch it at home.

Already saw it. I had some minor problems with it, but a good movie overall.

Depends on your 6 year-old. My three year-old loved it, but very little scares him. My niece showed him the first Lord of the Rings, and he loved it, so there ya go (he was 2 at the time).

Some kids would be scared, but I think most will enjoy it. The battle sequences are cool, but they are bloodless.

I saw it yesterday. I've never read the books so I didn't know what to expect from it.

Well, I think the movie is simply beautiful (brilliant actors, sound score and visual effects)

I can only say I've now ordered the box set of the 7 books (Christmas time will be a nice occasion to read them all for the first time!)

Here they rated it as 11 yo, which means if you're 7-10 you can go with an adult. I wouldn't bring a 6 yo to this though, I think they did it "too well" for that.

Does anyone know who the actress is that plays the witch? It looks like Cate Blanchett. Is it?
