FACT....The Feeling You Get When first In Love Leaves After One Year.

Supposedly Scientists say the First Phase Of Love is MUCH MORE ROMANTIC and Mind BLOWING{CHEMISTRY}. It changes after one year. Helen Fisher Why We Love says she thinks after 2 or 3 years. What do you think? Has your Love Feelings FLUCTUATED? Change in BODY CHEMICALS.....Dopamine changes....

Love / relationships are alot like personal items - in this way... remember when you were young ... and you wanted a TOY ... and you got it ... then u never played with it and said "DAMN i wanted that instead !!! " !!! mad

when you get older - that "toy" becomes a CAR ... and u bring your first NEW CAR home from the dealorship ... and you realize .... you didnt want a new HONDA now you want a new BMW !!!! ... and so on and so on ....

cool eek smile lol wink eek

I´ve read an excerpt off that book, and I think she´s on point. However, I think the kind of love you´re referring to doesn´t even last three months, let alone a year.

I guess it also depends on both people´s personalities and thousands of other factors.

there is definetly this magic feeling that seems to brighten and deepen the whole world with optimism and promise. Then that can fade, but this kind of co-dependency and search for that intitial feeling can run after... after a few years you don't even think about it, but if your relationship is suddenly taken away, you go through heroin type withdrawal that just blankets you from nowhere like dirt on your grave! scary!

Hate to be such a downer but Ive been with my Sig Other for 13 years and Im still crazy about him even though he treats me like crap most of the time and takes everything I do for granted sad

I have already forgiven him once for cheating , something I said I would never do . But in the back of my mind I think its only a matter of time before it happens again .

I just keep thinking whats wrong with me , what have I done to make him behave like this and treat me like trash ?

Stupid thing is , I still love him sad

I guess I should be smiling ?

i think this may be true only for most women. for most men, the feeling of "love" ends after they've busted a nut. confused

Spats

With most of my relationships the thrill is gone before the year is up. I am bored and ready to move on.

It's not you hon.. You can't change how a person acts or treats you... it's them... I know.. I used to think the same...changed myself trying to please him when he treated me like shit...cheated on me..10 years I tried to make it work.. it took becoming pregnant to realize I have a responsibility and that my world wasn't revolved around him.. I realized that I have a right to be happy...everyone does!! This is your only life... Don't waste it trying to please someone who doesn't deserve it.....Most importantly DONT LOSE YOURSELF TRYING TO BE WHAT HE WANTS!!

It's hard... I know.... hug Hopefully you'll reach that point where you realize the same thing..tired of the loneliness and not feeling wanted..you can only take so much til you realize you just want to be happy..and move on. hug to you..your not alone hon
