Trader Joes: falling in love all over Okay, TJ whores, let's talk shop.
FIRST OFF: The blue cornbread mix. Freakin' AMAZING. Anyone tried it? It has chunks of corn and jalapeno in it, it bakes purple, and it's as sweet as it is spicy. I made it for my mom over Thanksgiving, and even she went nuts for it. AND THEN: This week I tried their "One Pot" chili mix sauce for the first time. I mixed it in a big ol' pot with a can of their sweet corn, a can of their Tuscan bean medley, and a bag of Morningstar Farms faux beef crumblies...then topped it off with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream, of course with peanut butter and bread on the side. HEAVENLY. Best chili I have eaten in YEARS. And those ingredients are cheap - the most expensive thing was the faux beef crumbles at 3.99 for a bag. GOOD STUFF. AND FINALLY: OH. MY. GOD. Just now I made a big pot of their curry flavored soba noodles, topped with veggies cooked in the TJ yellow curry sauce. ORGASM. And again - very cheap. The whole meal cost MAYBE six bucks, and I'll have leftovers for work tomorrow. Okay, Trader Joe rant over.

I'd buy most of my groceries there if there was one by me. Stupid small towns!

I have several around where I live (phoenix az), and I liked what I bought from their stores. They are intresting to shop at. Unlike any other store for sure. That's what I love about living in a metropilus. Lots and Lots of stores! News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Their brie really kicks ass. I mean everytime I eat it, I'm shocked at how great it is.
Not to mention their gnocchi. Yum. spelling clean up [Edited 12/1/05 21:34pm]

OMG...I can't wait! you know they'll be glad to see ya back! i forgot about the cranberry dipping sticks. are their vitamins pretty good? i usually just go to my local superdupermarket and get the el cheapo brand, or i'll get the target brand of vitamins cuz those are cheap too. teej vitamins aren't so cheap, but it makes me wonder if that's because they're really high quality...

OMG...the vitamins are super high quality and if you compare the similar ones at a healthfood store, they are really cheap. You have to be careful about the cheap vitamins because depending if they have the right stuff in them or not your body may not be able to absorb all of them. For example, you're better off getting a vitamin C suppliment that has bioflavinods in it...otherwise your body won't absorb all of the C. Better grades of vitamin C have it bioflavinoids already in it...and Teej's does!

...and if you like pomegranate juice, you'd be a fool not to get it at Trader Joe's. A big bottle of it sells there for four bucks - most supermarkets sell the same size for over ten bucks.
Also, for us veggies, TJs sells tofu for 1.29, whereas most supermarkets sell it for at least two bucks a package.

OMG...you guys do! You should email the company or something. From a Blog I found: As for eating right, I heard last night that there is supposedly a St. Louis Park location selected for the opening of a new Trader Joe's in town. I haven't found any recent buzz about this - does anyone know more? I love Trader Joe's, and would like to see it get a Twin Cities location. [EDIT: I did learn from another friend that there are plans for Trader Joe's to be part of the SLP business construction project that's finishing up in 2006-07. Link providing some confirmation: http://www.stlouispark.or...ction.html [Edited 12/2/05 7:55am]
