turntable and amplifier question needs answering

The King got himself a Project RPM9 turntable jerkoff only one thing, i want to get a high quality stereo amplifier for this baby (it will be running through a pair of 100w B&W speakers). BUT I am not sure what amp. to get, solid state or valve? I hear valve offers supior sound but also cost to maintain (new valves every year?!?!?!). Any advice????

News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Apart from the speakers (pair of B&W 703's), nada. I want this to be a completely independent system from what i have now, but as you ask, i do have a Naim power-amp I can sacrifice - if the would-be system can take it, so, what do i need inbetween?

You didn't mention whether an external phono preamp (something befitting the quality of the turntable)...

...like their Phono Box, or better, was already in the picture.

If not, an integrated amplifier or pre-amp/amplifier would be required.

With an external phono preamp you could then just run it straight to the Naim if you're happy with it.
