I would be going to see it, however I have fallen behind on going to the movies, so I am not sure I will be making it to that one. I don't want to be taken wrong. I use to enjoy the animation more then most people I know. I enjoy the story line. I think it will be a great show. However, I have gotten backlogged on the movies I am suposed to go and see.

The cartoon was sexy and sometimes nasty and strange..I doubt the movie is going to capture that. Plus She doesnt have the long hair..the strange anorexic body and sexiness the cartoon had...

In what is always a very bad sign, Paramount has decided not to screen
"Aeon Flux" in advance for critics. This is usually a sign that the film will be an absolute stinker, and that they are trying to make a quick buck opening weekend before being savaged by the press.

If by 'thing' you mean the movie, I am thinking I will have to disagree with you there. When Aeon Flux started, it was just shorts with little or no meaning, then after it found a following they wrote the back story, I believe therefore with a good director the movie might just BURN UP the animation series. After all, the people in the animation looked a little freaky.

Yes...

Plus, Aeon Flux, isn't "popular" beyond it's cult type following, so I have little fear that it will be flavor of the month pop crap.

No...it was a whole story chopped up into little segments to fit into MTV's Liquid TV format. There was one episode I recall that joined all the segments to gether into one special ed of Liquid TV. It was when they did the series that her story expanded.

Though most WILL go see it as it's an action flick akin to Tomb Raider...which also didn't have much of a following but the public will go see a buxom action hero special effect movie. It'll be the number one movie and stinker of the weekend.

Seriously, the fact that the press will not be given the chance to review is ALWAYS a sign of a big budget DUD.

I only know it from the shorts. I wonder if Charlize dies at the end like in the cartoon?

I was a fan of the animated series, but I have doubts about the movie. When will Hollywood learn you can't do films like AF, Spawn and AlienvPredator justice with a PG-13 rating?

I'm a big fan of the cartoon, but I don't know about this movie. I want to see it more out of curiosity than anything else, but from what I've seen of previews and teasers it looks like it'll be a huge disappointment.

And Charlize as Aeon? disbelief I'm sorry, but I'm just not buying it.
