never feed your dog turkey I didnt know this, and now my dog is sick.....
Turkey and chicken bones; Do they really hurt my big guy? Turkey and Your Furry Friends Don't Mix "DO NOT feed your dog turkey skin," says Lyndee Henderson, Suite101 editor of Small Dog Breeds."It can kill them because they can't digest it. Also, never feed your dog a turkey leg -- they can choke on the small bones, and larger turkey bones fracture easily. If ingested, bone fragments can puncture the dogs internal organs." If you insist on feeding your dog part of the leftover turkey, Lyndee adds: "If one way to get rid of turkey is to feed it to your furry friend, make certain you inspect the pieces you give your dog for skin and bones. Turkey is a great treat for dogs only if served with care." Say it's just a dream...

do people eat the turkey skin? I wonder why dogs can't eat it? Dogs eat their own poop, I always thought they had cast iron stomachs

poultry bones are terrible for dogs! they splinter very easily and can choke, get lodged, or cause stomach problems. hopefully all will be well but if problems persist you should take puppy to the vet.

I'm sorry Amorbella, I hope everything works out
Dogs should not eat these bones: Pork, fish and poultry. They splinter in ways the hollow beef bones do not. Giving your dog beef bones is beneficial for the dog, it helps take care of dental health. Uzie gets a hollow beef bone several times a week and she doesn't have any teeth probs.

I've become rather ruthless I'm afraid, whenever Uzie's eaten something icky outside in the woods and gets the shits or throws up, I starve her until it goes away. Then she's fine. Of course I don't do it for days and days, only when it has the signs of "oops mommy, I ate some crap again"
