don't you hate it when you're making a delicious dinner and... I thawed, browned then quickly seared chunks of sweet italian turkey sausage, i cooked some angel hair pasta perfectly "al dente" letting them soften on their own after draining and putting them in the bowl, I grated off a bit of a fresh block of parmesan cheese.... and then discovered I had no jar of sauce (I usually use Newman's ready made to save cooing time)...

I keep a jar or two of sauce I don't use of another brand just for such an event. Then you wouldn't have your choice sauce, but you would have sauce.

I usually keep a packet of biscuits in the cupboard that I don't like. That way I always have biscuits to give visitors. Same thing? | |

even when you add just garlic , olive oil and red pepper to pasta it will taste ok | |

some butter and herbs mixed with pasta can make a salvageable dinner...i can always dress up pasta with SOMEthing from my kitchen. | |
