God knows what I'll be stuck with for the next ten I'm convinced that the state of Washington has installed a special "ugly filter" on the cameras they use at the Department of Licensing offices.
Anyway, I work near a tiny DoL branch in downtown Seattle... I think it's so small that most people don't even realize it's there. I walked in one day during the noon lunch hour to get a new license (change of address), and I was the only customer. The first picture they took was horrible. However, the kind man working the camera offered me a retake, and the second picture is probably the best one can expect on a driver's license. Since we're allowed to do one renewal over the Internet, I can potentially keep this picture until my birthday in 2014. (Whether I'll still look the same at age 36 remains to be seen.)Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
