curly hair:? then u probably at one time have wished it straight...

i was listening 2 my daughters (teens) friends as they wished away all the beauty that nature has given them.. enough already.

one hated her nose, which was cute as could be
another wanted straight hair becuz it was naturally curly
another wished her breasts were smaller, yes smaller lol

i finally said enough! and made each one of them tell us something they liked about themselves physically and about their personality...

why don’t more people like themselves? why r people so concerned with changing the physical and spend little 2 no time on the spiritual/internal? and i know the media is 2 blame 4 much of r perception 2 beauty and what we should be but adults need 2 stop with the exuces already. WE r the ones teaching the young women and men of 2day & 2morrow.

take care of ur temple! of course! can we just focus on the beauty of it instead of tearing it and rselves down seeking an idealized perfection or imagined image of what it should be?

i've been guilty of this at times in my life 2 but let's have a renewed awareness

Looks are important. You are fooling yourself if you don't believe it. The first thing people see are your looks and if they don't find your looks appealing they will not stick around to see what's inside. Most people are like that.

That's really too bad. Most folks would rather have someone who looks good that treats them like shit for a few moths than to have someone plain who would worship the ground they walk on for a lifetime.

I go between wanting to change the outside to bring someone to the inside or staying the way I am and hoping for that one person to accept me for the person inside. I usually stick to the latter. I can't really see myslef going through a charade of dresses and makeup when the person will be scared outta their wits when they see me without.

I have had plain janes want me and want to "worship the ground I walk on ". Not literally of course but you know what i want. But unfortunately they were plain and i was not attracted to them. I would always think to myself. "Why can't you be hot??? If Only you were hot. This would be ideal!!".
