Actually, I got my name originally from Ernest Hemingway's "Garden of Eden" - a character in that book is nicknamed "Heiress." Me and a friend who are big Hemingway fans gave outselves nicknames from his books, years ago (she's Lady Brett). The choices are someone tongue-in-cheek because the characters are rather awful, each in their own way. But the name "Heiress" has, for me, a second connotation of inheriting the earth and the future - for that I like it most.
