$1.99/gallon gas--should i be happy or still pissed off?

honestly, when gas was like $4.00 a gallon 2 months ago, around katrina time...i thought it would never get this low again this soon. and yet, it's down to under $2.00 again (although barely)...should i be happy that it's not as high as it was, or still be pissed that it's still that damned high?
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

Over here you would have to pay 1,20 $ for a LITER ...so be happy, considering that you´re getting almost four liters ( a gallon) over there.Last time I was in the states I used to fill up the tank and ride around just for the sake of driving around without going anywhere in particular...those days are over here in Europe.

call me ungrateful but I am still pissed about the gas prices.

I still want to pay less than a dollar for gas, but I'd settle for $1.20

don't worry, it will go back up. It's all a game. Just look at the average price yearly, you'll see how they work.....the fuckers that they are.

At my work a pessimistic (big surprise) liberal bet a conserative who believes in the free market $100 that gas would never drop below $2.00 again which the conserative guy jumped at in a heart beat (they set a one year time limit which is way less then never but the Conservative wsn't worried). THe liberal even included a clause saying he would double his payment if it happened before the end of the New Year. Guess who paid who today smile

The free market is the free market and that will always prevail when items are overpriced and liberals and lawmakers don't seem to understand this.

As for $1.00 gas its not very likely being as most states tax gas nearly half that much. Plus seriously people is there no room for inflation in the last 35 years when it comes to gasoline?

I mean the price of everything has like quadrupiled (homes have like gone up 10 times or more) but people get mad if gasoline goes up at all. The price of gasoline at $2.00 is much much much cheaper then it was in the 80's when inflation is included.

yeah, the most the gas got here was near $3US, but since October, the price has gone down. My station aired area best gas prices and we said Wednesday two stations were $1.91 and $1.92.

I went to work and saw a nearby gas station $1.94 and then when I came home the price jumped to $2.09, but I think that's because of the Thanksgiving holiday and the weekend holiday travel.

I believe the price of gas will fluxuate between $1.99 and $2.25 for the rest of the year, but in 2006 I think the price of gas will average between $2.25 and $2.50.

I think it funny, the powers that be, raise the gas so high, so that when it is lowered to a much higher price then were it started from, it seemed the price went down.

Sometimes I wonder if it wasn't just a big scam to readjust the gas prices to a much higher price.

"how are we going to raise the price of gas 1 dollar a gallon and get away with it?"

"I have an idea, lets raise the price of gas 3 dollars and then back it off 2 dollars, that way the stupid monkeys will think the price of gas has gone down."

I wonder to myself if this conversation didn't happen somewhere.
