"KIDS" the movie

Do any of you remember watching a movie that came out in the mid-to-late 90's called "Kids"? I recently saw this movie for the first time, and it was the most disturbing movie i had ever seen in my life. I will never watch it again....

you have a young Rosario Dawson who is 17 and very promiscious....

young boys running around trying to sleep with as many stupid young girls as possible....

there was a lot of under age drug using, they didn't take showers, and one found out that she was HIV positive from having unprotected sex one time....

This movie makes me very afraid to have kids, fearing that they will lose control. I am very happy that I wasn't like that when I was a teenager.....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I saw this film years ago and it was disturbing and I was a teen. From what I remember, it was sad to see them just wasting their lives like that.

I think it's a great movie. It's unpleasant and uncomfortable to watch, but it's real. You think there aren't kids living like this?

The director's approach in that film had a creepy kiddy porn vibe. There was lots of completely random teen nudity. It was weird.

i remember seeing this back in 95 when i was 14. my uncle who was 25 at the time had to take me cause they smacked a "nc-17" rating on it(they tried to get a non rating approved or something.but failed). i thought it was a bit disturbing at some points but not unbelievable as someone who was barely a teen.

i think bully shows that invincible feeling teens can have...thinking something crazy like that up...and actually thinking they would get away with. it.

Agreed.
It also shows that these kinds of kids (both in 'Bully' & 'Kids'),
have absolutely no clue of the concept of consequences.

BTW...by bringing up 'Bully', I wasn't trying to jack this thread.
From what I heard,
these two movies where created by the same people.

Snap

most kids don't know consequences until they experience some
and really, in most cases, this is unnecessary
problem is, most parents have no idea what their kids do out of sight
thus come the consequences to kids unguarded
we act like we don't know what to do with the youth of today
are we just being selfish and lazy
the tables will get turned
y'see, adults don't know the consequences either

saw it 2 years ago in a human sexuality class that I was taking. It was disturbing, but for those who didn't know that there were people living like that out there it was eye opening. I was in a class with people who didn't believe that pre teens were having sex rolleyes and thought it was unrealistic just because of the age of the girls. After some discussion about the movie and some additional articles they woke up.

Haven't seen this since it came out, but folks...this is the way our society is headed! To bury your head in the sand and pretend like young people aren't getting involved in sex, drugs and violence at an earlier and earlier age is to hide in the security blanket of denial. Not looking won't make it go away.

We need more Kids and less Lord of the Rings.

Kids was very disturbing but you know what. Things like that were going on in my neck of the woods too, at that age. It didn't shock me really. Some of my friends started getting high when they were 10. There's one scene in the movie where they show these little kids getting high on pot and the audience just cringed. I felt like saying "This is life people. It's really going on."

I loved Chloe in it. I didn't know Rosario Dawson was in it though.

BULLY is based on a true story, that's what makes it crazy to watch. I hate to say it but Brad Renfro turns me the f(*k ON!!!!!

that's exactly where I watched it, in health class 1st period (what a way to start the day). Being from NYC (where the film was done), it wasn't surprising at all cause we'd hear stuff like that happening often. I don't think anyone in the class was freaked out by the film. We talked about it and that was it.
