The Skelton Key

Is it just me or does Kate Hudson look a hell of lot like Drew Berrymore, I dig this movie a whole bunch, not to tell the whole movie, but who knew a couple of slaves could have so much power ? You should check out the special features also, they tell the history of voodoo/hoodoo and even have a recipe 4 Gumbo.

every since I watched the bonus features, I've been really interest in learning more about the african tradition of voodoo. Didn't know it was a religion.

Religion is all about the power of make believe. The mind is a powerful thing. The line 'it is only real when you believe in it' kinda sums up human nature.

Most often this power is turned to evil. Most organised religions are evil. Please donate money to my cause.

I actually enjoyed this movie even after hearing terrible reviews. It wasn't Academy Award winning but the twist/plot was really good.

Fun fact: My house was built in 1910, the front door needs a skeleton key to open.

i ate a plate of soil, a raven's egg and a drank pint of brine

let it simmer in my tummy for 10 minutes, "coughed" it up mixed

it with some hair and a gift simmered it to a thick molasses.

spread the molasses out over a handwritten letter, let it dry

and burned it. spread the ashes over my face and cursed you.

you know who you are.
