ok will someone PLEASE help me with my P.O.S. Computer?! POS as in PIECE O SHITE!
i was backing up my files because i plan on reformatting my C hard drive cuz it's been giving me grief... last night after i was done, msn messenger, msn explorer, hotmail AND yahoo (what?) stopped working so i figured, with those compressed files on this hard drive it's prolly real teh low on memory...so i moved them to my smaller hard drive and cleared everything up on my C hard drive.. rebooted. nothing. Hotmail: i type in my name n password and it INSTANTLY goes to a page that says it cannot be displayed. MSN Messenger: service is temporarily unavailable ( 800b0001 was the number it had after that message) MSN Explorer: tries 4 times to sign in and nothing... Yahoo Mail: which is the strangest one, does the same thing hotmail does this happened to me about 6 months ago, but yahoo was working...this incident lasted like 3 months or so... now it's happening again i'm really serious i want to know if any of you know what might be going on... i mean i know once i format the hard drive things should be back to normal... but that isn't until sunday when my brother can get here 2 fix it. i'm fucking pissed off...i need another computer so bad.

make/model of your pc: MDG (canadian make...maybe that's my problem)
O/S of your pc Windows XP?: yes... did you do a system restore point? i believe i did, but i don't want 2 do anything 2 drastic before my brother handles it, i just want to get those things back how much space do you have left on your c:\drive: 2.76 GB (yeah yeah i KNOW...it's all music, and will be reformatted sunday) how much RAM do you have: not sure. what browser are you using: i was using internet explorer a few years ago...i'm using it now cuz my MSN explorer is down...IE isn't really VISIBLE on my pc anymore... heh...it just kinda pops up when i click on my shortcut to yahoo mail...but that doesn't even work anymore... Do you have SP2? is that a spyware/adware program? if yes, then yes. And are you using Norton or Black ICE for firewall protection? McAfee is better had 2 many problems with norton back in the day do u think if i reformat my hardrive on sunday thing's will go back 2 normal?

If it's a computer you or a friend built, you'l have to do alot of driver installs, even if XP finds your hardward and configures it for you. If it's an HP, compact, or Dell, and you have a "Retore" disk, all you have to do really is setup your email again. If you use outlook or outlook express, back up your .pst file. (you can search your system for it, and burn it to disk). Your .pst file houses all your email/personal info for outlook. I'm not sure what outlook epxress uses (.pwa???).

I'm not sure what outlook epxress uses (.pwa???). it's not real brand, it's a big store here in canada called MDG and they make their own pcs it's been reformatted and partitioned before so i know there'll be no problems with that...actually i'm more hopeful that things will go back 2 normal...like a new pc and that's another thing...hehe, my power supply just died a few days ago, my brother replaced it, things were fine... but now my cd writer/re writer isn't working... i tried 2 copy some stuff last night and it sounds like it was chewing on my cds... yeah, i have a KICK ASS computer
