I feel "depressed" today Actually, I have felt "down" all week.
Last weekend, my best friend came to visit (from out of town) Since then I have felt depressed. There never seems to be enough time for us to visit, before I knew it the weekend was over and he was gone. He is a trusted friend and is someone I can really talk too. We grew up together and we talk all the time on the telephone. I only see him every few months. I have rarely felt this way after having company. I wonder why I feel this way? Do you feel depressed after having company for a couple of days? How can I brighten up my day?

its always hard when you have nice events and then its over
sorry you arent feeling well try taking some time for yourself, do something you dont normally do - just for yourself... or buy some flowers for your dinner table, that always makes me smile One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

I have a hard time doing anything for myself. The weather has been terrible here and that does not help my mood.

Sometimes if I reflect too much on the past, I begin to miss my friends and all the things that I did. I haven't kept in touch with anyone from my past, so I do not have the opportunity to get together with people.
Look forward to the next time. That may cheer you up.

I 'm glad you said that You know I reflect a lot too, I enjoy seeing this person and when they are around it is good, but everything seems "rushed." Its difficult to slow down. It is too bad that you have not kept "in touch" with your friends.

Maybe I need some "rest" A few plans for the future always help. As equality grows, violence declines.

I'm a man but I can really appreicate roses and orchids. Generally, I don't like a room full of flowers, but I have a thing for roses and orchids.

When I come back from Israƫl and I leave there my 9 years old daughter (illegal custody), I feel down, very down. Sleep in days, wake up at night, with constant weakness.
Cooking fresh vegetables helps me a lot, because of the sounds, the smell, the colors. Drawing, writing, to get off these feelings. And then remember all is a cycle, being faithful in the next morning light. Then I have my babe on the phone, send her little gifts to keep few distance between our feelings. Loneliness is a hard disease. Feel free to speak to me whenever you need to.

I've suffered from mild depression. I'm an endorphine junky so all I have to do is take a run or a long walk and I feel better. It still boggles my mind how chemicals in my body can change the way I look and feel about things.
