Yes it does. It makes the people boring and safe and set in routines and the women are usually not as pretty anymore because of having kids. It changes a lot of things and not for the better.

Yeah, lately I do.
And I try to change myself in good, to fit what I am with what I'd like, rather than looking for someone else's fault.

But for someone who's 31, it's still OK. Up and down you go.

You can feel when love is totally gone, and children or not, there's nothing to do.

My experience didn't teach me how to deal with it or control it. I don't think to be ever loving someone forever, so I accept it the time it lasts. And I hope ppl involved will act the same as me.

I think all situations have their good and bad, with all the risks you can meet in life. I don't feel ready to marry again, but I know having a baby will make me feel MUCH YOUNGER in my mind. Responsabilities, but so much LUV and happiness. A baby is a new start, symbol of a new hope in life.

You should trust in life a little bit more, honey.

Hell no! My kids and I play with toys together. When I go to Toys R Us, half the time (okay, the majority of the time), I'm buying things for myself there. My son and I set up LAN games and play against each other on our computers. biggrin

That's good that you do. But women usually become pear shaped after that. I am not attracted to that. I don't want a woman who has a bigger ass than mine.

Yeah, I feel this way too. The kids keep me young. My wife and my kids add youth to my life and I am sure vise versa.

If I were single and no kids and older I would REALLY be feeling old and worn out and left out. biggrin

I've seen lots of older married women with kids (over 40) that were looking hot (and older of course) and not boring at all.

Marriage has certainly made me very boring in the opinion of single people. I don't like to go clubbing anymore, I don't buy CDs or go to movies much, I don't get smashed any more. So boring rolleyes all I talk about are my children blah blah blah

and I don't care because I LIKE it!!! mr.green

No, marriage doesn't - age does. I'm not interested in clubbing but I still like going to live gigs. I'm not really into doing things I'd feel I should be doing if I were single, and to be honest I don't think I ever really enjoyed doing that kind of stuff anyway.

Although I don't go out as much as I might if I were single, I'm actually quite content doing my own thing and not having the pressure to find a partner.

I married when I was 27, at 26 I was still doing all the above, suddenly I liked to stay in and do other stuff, instead of filling in my time waiting for the main event. Now I am old and mature I would not do those things even if I was single and had no kids.

nod but have you found a lot of things you do like to do now? I find when I have time on my hands I am at a loss, because I don't have ENOUGH time really to start something like a serious hobby or passion. sad

well, I have time to do things because I don't have children - the problem I have is that a lot of my friends are married and they don't necessarily have the time to go out with me so I rely on my gay and single friends a lot for fun biggrin

And you cannot compare me to a gigglo. There is nothing wrong with wanting a fun easy going life without all of those headaches and responsibilities.

The only thing I can contribute to this thread although its not constructive is that once people have children they seem to have little else to talk about , which to me at least isnt particularly interesting confused

Ya Know the SEX is PREDICTABLE and Plannned. Ya do it Morning or Night. Ya Not like Waiting for it like all week so ya POUNCH. Ya KNOW ya can Have it ANYTIME. The COOL thing about DATINg is YOU ARE EXCITED to SEE EACH OTHEr and Ya POUNCH on EACH OTHER. Ya Get MORE EXCITED to DO IT On The FLOOR or TABLE. Ya Don't Plan SHIT. And yes, talking bout SCHOOL and DIAPERS is BORING IF IT'S ALL THe TIME. Plus the weight gain what have ya ruins ya body. It's ALOT of STUFF. But Most of your Friends are MARRIED or have KIDS so They FORGOT WHAT CONCERTS ARE or COMPLAIN about the PRICE of TEE SHIRTS CAUSE THEY HAVE MORTGAGES. They don't drive SPORTSCARS they drive MINIVANS. It's all FAMILY and NOTHING ELSE. It's JUST NOT AS SEXY AS BEING SINGLE and FREE. PLUS TALKING BOUT BILLS and MONEY RUINS RELATIONSHIPS. WOMEN and MEN GET LAZY and FAT THINKING WHO CARES ABOUT LOOKING HOT! YA GOTTa ALWAYS BE AT YOUR BEST! REMEMBER THAT! biggrin

I've been married for nearly 16 years, and it's certainly not boring. We still "date" and have a lot of fun. We do not have children, though. We are involved in canine rescue and just felt children weren't our thing, though we did foster a little boy, and we have helped raise my younger sister (25 years younger than me) in the place of our absentee father. That's all the parenting I wanted to do.

I don't look the same as I did nearly 18 years ago (when we met). I've certainly gained weight; he has, too. I'm seeing a grey hair here and there, and he has more than a few. Part of the fun for us is being able to grow old together. Maybe we're some kind of weird freaks, but we actually enjoy watching each other age over the years. When I was younger, I never wanted to be married, but meeting the right person changes your perspective, I reckon. I'm so glad I have someone that knows me well enough to say the right thing, or not say anything at all. Someone I could call on at any hour of the day or night to rescue me if I needed it. Someone that will be honest and tell the truth whether it's what I want to hear or not. Someone that still makes love rather than getting laid. Someone that can order for me in a restaurant before I ever get there instead of having to wait to see what I'd want. Man, I can't imagine what would ever make me want to give this lifestyle up.

And I'm damn fun to be around. cool

'Scuse me while I kiss this guy. wink

And modest.

You want someone to order for and rescue you? What year is this? I don't order for anybody or rescue any woman.

You wouldn't get it, would you? No one said I NEED it. It's just nice to know it's there. By "rescue," that could mean being broken down on the side of the road, not necessarily that I'm being eaten by wolves. If that means I lack modesty, I'll wear that title as a badge of honor. smile
