my parents are boring old people...
we had an artificial tree...
they sold it to a complete stranger when i was 9 assuming i was "too old for christmas now" confused

...i'm resenting my parents right now.

the only thing i can think of is eggnog...and my mom usually buys one carton and keeps it to herself...greedy.

probably when i leave my house to go visit my mom for thanksgiving.

some years i put up a christmas tree in my apartment. some years i don't. i have an ANCIENT artificial silver christmas tree and i think it's pretty much on its last legs. either i'll get a new tree this year, or i'll just put my prezzies under someone else's tree. i'm not feeling super festive this year.

not sure what it is about me that screams "she needs fiber optic christmas decorations!!" nuts

but my aunt gave me a gawdy fiber optic angel a few years ago (she hasn't seen the light of day poor thing)
and my parents just brought up a fiber optic christmas tree!!

thank heavens none of them will be around to notice their gifts are conspicuously absent from my livingroom this holiday season.

I just bought the boys advent calendars where I can put a little sweet in a teeny little hessian bag for each day. I haven't put them up yet though - that will be the first sign (on Dec 1)

Same here, though I usually wait until the Saturday after Thanksgiving to do it. However, my mom's coming up from Florida for Thanksgiving, and I told her I'd have the tree up by the time she got here!

But so far, I've just put up the Santa and Frosty pot holders in the background and the runner on the island. giggle Actually, that's a lie; there's red garland over the potrack and a Frosty kitchen rug. You just can't see them.

We get our tree based on my hubby's work schedule...this year looks like we'll get it around Dec 10th (early for us yay!)
