The Polar Express (2004)

after the Pleasantville thread ... (which i admitted i had NOT seen ) ... i was curious what you Prince fans thought of this movie ... i was also curious about it coming out on dvd and i just saw it is coming out in a week or so ...

I took my 5 yr old ... and she loved it ....

It had a magical feel to it ... i must admit in parts .... but my biggest negative to the flick seemed to be SANTA !!!! ... when it got to him ... I was like ... :"what up with mechanized SANTA ... " !!! mad eek

thoughts?

I loved the Polar Express . . . as did my son Ja'von smile I am such a sap ..... after it brought me to tears...(just the entire feel the magical feel...the spirit and the damn "the bell still rings for those who believe" deep sigh. . .. . . . ) I ran to the Hallmark store and bought Ja'von the boxed bell as a keepsake.....

I looked for it on dvd in the spring ... (thinking that since it was released in November 2004 in theaters that it would appear on dvd in around March..) ... nothing!

and then alas.... just in time for Christmas 2005.... the Polar Express (3D) starring Tom Hanks will be released on November 22, 2005.... razz

I highly recommend it to everyone...whether you have children or not...it's beautiful....and magival and it will touch you deeply...and right after you reach for the tissues to wipe your eyes..... (think of me ) smile and then go to the hallmark store and look for the Polar Express commemorative section.....and get a bell for your house too biggrin

I expected this movie to be terribly boring, but to my surprise, I liked it quite a bit! The animation was a bit on the creepy side, and I think that's what made me like it. biggrin
