the delta 32 story is true , it's scientifically studied !

It's one theory of many that basically speculates if there's a gene that blocks the infection (at least in a certain percentage of the cases). Nobody knows for sure how true it is. Either way, it doesn't mean you get cured, it just means you don't get infected in the first place.

nod they say at least 5% of the population will never become hiv infected because of this gene.

I believe this person had a false positive test. HIV is viral and we've yet to cure any viral infections on the planet. We still are trying to figure out the common cold.

There are those who think there is a cure and its a gov't cover up. Some even claim there's a patent for the cure. I've seen the conspiracy websites. Interesting reasing. confused

very interesting.

Rhondab it seems the person did not receive a false positive test there was a letter from the NHS Trust today in newspapers that stated:

Letter:
The findings of the liability investigations do not indicate any negligence on the part of the trust or the clinicians. Essentially, whilst the circumstances of you positive then negative HIV antibody tests are quite remarkable, there can be no finding of negligence against the Trust, and in the circumstances, we are unable to offer compensation to you.

Caroline lord, spokeswoman for the trust said: “we can categorically that his first test proved positive and then further tests proved negative, the tests where accurate. It was not a mistake.
He had HIV and now he hasn’t. It is obviously wonderful news for him. But what we do not know is whether he actually cured himself, as has been reported.
We have offered him further tests to help us investigate and find out why this happened but he hasn’t been in”.

Medical experts are baffled. Specialist Dr Andrew kinghorn said: “the secret seems to live in the strength of his immunes system. What makes him different is tests show he has no virus in his blood and his immune system has stopped making antibodies. If we can better understand what happened inside Andrews’s body it could prove to be a step towards a breakthrough in beating HIV.”

This story is making huge headlines in the UK will be interesting to see what happens.
