*sigh* Yes, I need to lose weight. It pisses me off that I'm the only fat-ass in my family. Two of my sisters each have four kids and they're skinny as rails. Our parents are thin as well. My mother actually used to be a stripper. I've never had a kid and have struggled with my weight most of my adult life. It's just not fair! pout

Then again, I skipped the whole crack/heroin diet that seemed to work so well for them. hmm

I recently went vegetarian and am joining a gym next month. I'm a physically active person, and I do like healthy foods. I just eat way too much of it. I have a serious problem with portion control. I'm learning to eat sensible portions. It's hard to break a lifetime of bad habits, I reckon. I still eat out, but it's not really burgers and fries fast food stuff. If I eat in a nice restaurant, I've found that it helps to have them split my meal into two portions... half on a plate and half in a to go box. I will eat everything on my plate, so if I have them divide it for me, it just seems easier to stop.

I had a killer figure when I was younger. I would really like to see it again before it's too late to really enjoy it. shrug

I could stand to lose 5-10 lbs. I look slimmer than I really am b/c my legs are skinny - fucking apple shape mad I'd give anything to be a pear!! pout

I'm eating better than I ever have in my life, working out consistently for about 5 months now. I'm noticing some change, feel stronger, still wanna tighten some stuff up though.

It's an epidemic in America & it's spreading around the world thanks to McDonalds & other shitty restaurants going global. Our kids literally don't know how to eat. I blame the parents. It's like every meal is supposed to be the "best", greasiest, cheesiest meal. No concept of fast food being bad for you. People just eat it & keep going. No thinking involved. It's weird... I know b/c I used to eat fast food w/o thinking myself confused eek

Body shape fascinatez me. In recent yearz i've found dat alotta clothing has been designed for catered for the pear shape. That'z great. But i'm not a pear lol i'm a freakin hour-glass. Nothing wrong with dat- but it does mean that sometimez it'z a bitch to find something dat fitz like a glove!!

Beyonce & her momma's clothes are supposed to be tailored for hourglass shapes smile It might be tacky as all hell lol but try them out biggrin

I am at 120 right now, which is quite a bit for being 4'11". However, when I graduated from college five months ago, I weighed 145! omfg

I dropped all that weight by just cutting down my portions to half and steering clear of the shit that's no good for me. I also eat more vegetables and fruits and exercise to keep healthy. I feel much better about myself in every way. I've come to realize that even when I was in my most fit stage of life I was never waif thin. I've always had extra meat. I've come to terms with that's just how I am - that's what my body type is. And I'm fine with it. Anyone who is not can fuck off. biggrin

Well Vainandy. I'm only 5'7" and I weight 213. I freaked out. I told myself that I would never let myself get back to 215, my heaviest. I actually went to the gym today. I feel great.

I know exactly how you feel. One minute I'm fat....a few months later I'm thin....a few years later I'm on the way to becoming fat again....a few months later I'll be thin again. I do feel good that I have the strength and willpower to lose it. Just call me Luther Vandross. lol

I don't think of my health in terms of weight, but more on energy and the sad sack I see in the mirror. My weight hardly changes from when I feel fit to when I feel lardy.

A case in point - I was my heaviest when I returned from 2.5 years in America. I thought I ate the exactly the same food as I do normally (I think you must add fat to lettuce!! lol )

In YOUR OPINION DO YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT?

Maybe a little bit, or at least stay at this weight, but I'd like to feel a little more healthy. You're right about the teens though. I was a chubby kid, but I was like over 200 pounds (70 lbs overweight) when I was 13. I stopped eating and got into crash diets and lose about 20 pounds by the time I was 15, but still felt really crappy. So over the last year and a half I got really into health and exercise, stopped eating meat and now I'm in the 140s, at the most I'm 3-5 lbs over my ideal weight.

It's true. I can't take a bigger woman on top me. I see men out with women who asses are so big you could show a movie on them. I don't know how those guys can get into that. I don't know how women can stand having a bigger man on top of them. I would feel suffocated or just to uncomfortable. And that photo that someone posted with that huge woman on top of the man is GROSS.

No. I'm pretty much under doctor's orders not to lose weight. I don't have an eating disorder or anything like that... I'm just naturally skinny. For the most part, I can eat whatever I want and not gain a significant amount of weight. And while I don't claim that my eating habits are particularly healthy, my cholesterol was last tested at 145, which is pretty good.
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.

i'm exactly like you in terms of the weight issue. my diet isn't the worst or the greatest either but apparantly i just have a high metabolism or something because i have never gained weight easily.

my doctor has recommended to me that i drink Ensure a couple times a day to help up my caloric intake and hopefully gain a few pounds, and i tried it but that stuff is NASTY. ill

i figure it'll all catch up to me one day and the metabolism thing will slow and i'll put on the pounds then.

I do. I'm under medecine and I used to be thin. Now I'm not fat, but too fat for me. I have to walk more, exercise more.

My boyfriend doesn't want me to be thinner than I am now. I wear a 32(US), 1.74 tall for 74 kg. So I have between 10 and 15 kgs overweight.

Good stuff. Congrats on getting yourself in shape. I started working out in '98 after a 10-year layoff, and I haven't stopped since. The main thing was cutting down on all the junk I was eating(soda, pizza, McD's, etc.). It HAS to be a combination of diet & exercise - the two go hand in hand. Now I limit fast food to once a week. It feels good watching people do a double-take when they find out my age - that tells me I'm doing it right.

You mentioned kids & McD's - how about those crappy breakfast cereals Madison Avenue pushes on kids! Nothing but pure sugar. No wonder child obesity is such a big problem today.

errrm, women will have a bigger ass then men usually due to the fact they are designed to have child bearing hips. U must really only go for paris hilton types.

40 reasons to starve today from xanga anorexia blogring.

You will be FAT if you eat today. Just put it off one more day.
You don't NEED food.
Fat people can't fit everywhere.
Guys will be able to pick you up without struggling.
You'll be able to run faster without all that extra weight holding you back.
People will remember you as the 'beautiful thin one.'
If someone has to describe you, they'll say, 'oh, she weighs like 100, 110 lbs.'
Guys will want to get to know you, not laugh at you and walk away.
Starving is an example of excellent willpower.
You will be able to see your beautiful, beautiful bones.
Bones are clean and pure. Fat is dirty and hangs on your bones like a parasite.
If you eat, you'll look like those disgusting, fat, ghetto and trailer-trash hookers on Jerry Springer.
The models that everyone claim are beautiful, the spitting image of perfection, are any of them fat? ... NO....
Too many people in America are obese.
People who eat are selfish and unrealistic.
Only fat people are attracted to fat people. Do you want pigs to like you because you are one of them?
Anyone can have 'inner beauty,' but few can earn real beauty, inside as well as out.
You'll be able to move as quietly and skillfully as a spider.
Only thin people are graceful.
If you slap a fat person, you can see a shockwave ripple over their skin. That's disgusting.
Do you want people to say, 'For god's sake get off of me, you're crushing me; I can't breathe!' or 'You are soo light.' ????
Underweight, a.k.a. perfect body.
Ballerina? Or beanbag?
I want to be light enough so a helium balloon could lift me and carry me to the clouds. . .like in my reoccurring dream smile I love that dream.
I want to walk in the snow and leave no footprints.
Starve off the parts you don't need. They're ugly and drag you down.
Nothing can't be fixed with hunger and weightloss.
Saying 'No, thanks,' to food is saying 'Yes, please,' to THIN!
Fat people are so huge, people see through them and it's like they don't exist.
The only time people notice a fat person is when they get in the way of that beautiful thin girl walking by. (I know that one sounds horrible)(Oh well)
Have you ever seen a person NOT notice a walking skeleton?
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.
Is food more important than happiness in life? Your appearance to others?
Eating is conforming.
When you start to get dizzy and weak, you're almost there.
Hunger is your friend and it won't betray you like food.
Food is mean and sneaky. It tricks you into eating it and it works on you from the inside out, making you fat, bloated, ugly, and unhappy.
Think of anorexia as your secret weapon.
If you can name one reason to be fat, I will name a million to be skinny. I'll name them even if you can't find a reason to be fat.
Thin people look good in ANY kind of clothes.
